Who We Are

The Thompson Community Development Corporation (Thompson CDC) was established in 1996. In later years, it was rebranded and operated as Thompson Unlimited. However, the entity ended its operation in 2015.

In 2019, through a community consultation process, it was identified that there was a need to establish a stand-alone community organization that would drive certain aspects of economic development in Thompson. A decision was taken to revive the Thompson CDC, since the core of the organization has always been a mandate to facilitate local economic development.

The City of Thompson went through the process to formally revive the Corporation, this became formal in June 2020, and an interim board was put in place  to manage its re-establishment and ensure a plan for the organization to deliver in a sustainable way.
